3StandDown-LogoStand Down House is a 32 bed facility in Lake Worth, Florida with a three-tiered approach to integrating veterans with physical and/or emotional wounds back into meaningful and productive living. John planned, initiated and successfully completed the “Stand Up for Stand Down” effort in which he stand-up-paddleboarded across the state of Florida (approximately 155 miles from the St. Lucie Inlet on the Atlantic to the Sanibel Causeway on the gulf coast). He and his team raised over $20K for Stand Down House. Check out local news coverage:

3wayside2Wayside House provides gender specific chemical dependency and mental health care treatment to women in a supportive, safe and nurturing environment – John served as a board member between 2010 and 2018.
Crossroads-logoCrossroads Club is a facility in Delray Beach, FL that provides a safe haven for anyone whose life has been adversely affected by, or through, the use of addictive substances. John served as a board member and as Treasurer between 2006 and 2020.

John serves as a volunteer.
